Product Description
A single Cat5e/Cat6 run replaces a bulky HDMI lead when the recorder and the monitor can't sit next to each other. This transmitter/receiver kit extends an HDMI signal up to 30 metres over standard RJ45 network cable while keeping video at Full HD 1080P.
How it's used on site
The transmitter (TX) connects to the HDMI source — a DVR, NVR, media player, computer or TV box. The receiver (RX) connects to the display — an HDTV, monitor or projector. Both units use standard RJ45 LAN ports, so the run between them is ordinary network cable rather than a long HDMI cable.
Where this fits in a CCTV job
Recorders often end up in a comms cupboard, rack or back office, away from the screen an operator actually watches. Routing Cat5e/Cat6 through walls, ceiling voids or trunking is generally easier than running long HDMI, and this kit carries both video and audio to the display in sync. Beyond CCTV monitoring, the same setup suits conference room displays, home theatre installs and digital signage where the source and screen are separated.
