Collecting by appointment
Our address is Unit E2 Bx, Brent Cross Shopping Park, Tilling Road, London, NW2 1LS. Collection works by prior appointment only, since we do not run a walk-in counter, and appointments are made over the telephone because checkout cannot book one: call +44 330 401 1003. The reason for booking ahead is practical. It gives us time to check that everything on the order has been picked and set aside before you set out, so an item arriving on the next inbound delivery never costs you the journey.
Delivery on a trade account
As a rule, an approved trade account has its delivery terms agreed with the account itself, and pallet or multi-drop deliveries are quoted for each consignment rather than charged at the standard rate. Apply for an account — there is no cost, and it takes only a couple of minutes.
Delivery questions, answered
How is the delivery charge worked out?
Delivery to a UK mainland address costs £4.99 for each order, becoming free once an order is above £100.00. As a rule the charge is made per order, not for each item, so an additional camera or a further length of cable in the same basket leaves the delivery cost where it was.
How quickly is an order despatched?
As a rule, an order for items held in stock that reaches us before 4pm on a weekday (Monday to Friday) is despatched on the same working day. One placed after the cut-off, or over a weekend, leaves on the next working day instead. Items on back-order are a separate case: they leave once our team has been able to arrange them, and the expected wait is shown at checkout, so you know it before committing to pay.
Is it possible to collect rather than pay for delivery?
Yes, although only by prior appointment, since we do not run a walk-in counter. Appointments are made by telephone, since checkout cannot book one (the number is +44 330 401 1003), and the address is Unit E2 Bx, Brent Cross Shopping Park, Tilling Road, London, NW2 1LS. Booking ahead gives us the chance to check that everything is picked and set aside before you set out.
Why are some areas quoted separately?
The reason is cost. Carriers add a surcharge for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and for Northern Ireland, as they do for the Crown dependencies (the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man), so a delivery to any of them is priced on its own instead of at the standard rate. If you let us have the postcode and a list of what is in the basket, we will price the delivery before you pay.
What happens if goods arrive damaged or an item is wrong?
We put it right at our expense, return carriage included; what differs is the notice. For a consumer purchase, reporting it within a reasonable time is enough. The law also gives you two further periods: 14 days in which a distance sale can be cancelled for whatever reason, and 30 days in which faulty goods can be rejected. For a business purchase, the notice period is 48 hours from receipt, and meeting it is a condition that any transit-damage claim must satisfy; an RMA number from us must also be in place before anything is returned to us. The returns page explains both in full.
