Product Description
A CAT5e/6 cable run replaces a long HDMI lead, taking an HDMI signal up to 30 metres using standard Ethernet cabling. That makes it a practical fix for control rooms, plant rooms and racks where the DVR or NVR sits well away from the monitor.
The kit is a transmitter and receiver pair, used together with no configuration and no external power supply needed. Wire the RJ45 ports of each unit with CAT5e or CAT6 patch cable to standard IEEE-568B wiring, and the link is live.

Where it fits
Common in CCTV installs where a DVR or NVR is rack-mounted at distance from the display, and in general AV setups extending HDMI over existing network cabling rather than running new HDMI leads. Because it's a matched transmitter/receiver pair with no setup, it drops into an install alongside standard CAT5e/6 patch cabling already in place for other equipment.
Note the HDCP limitation before pairing with sources or displays that enforce copy protection — this unit will not pass an HDCP-protected signal.
