A recorder is the core of any CCTV system: it records footage from connected cameras and typically provides local storage, remote viewing and playback. This range covers both DVR and NVR types, spanning 4, 8 and 16 channel formats for HD analogue and IP-camera projects.

DVR or NVR?

A DVR (digital video recorder) connects to analogue/HD-over-coax cameras via BNC and is used where existing coax cabling is in place. An NVR (network video recorder) connects to IP cameras over Ethernet, often with PoE ports that power cameras over the same cable, simplifying cabling on new installs.
