Where it fits on a job
This drive is compatible with all DVR and NVR surveillance systems, alongside desktops, servers, NAS devices and external enclosures — useful when a job calls for one drive spec across mixed equipment. The 7200 RPM spindle and 64 MB cache are aimed at 24/7 continuous recording, where the recorder is writing multiple camera streams to disk without a break.
Procurement notes
For recorder upgrades, check the recorder's bay size and interface before ordering — this is a standard 3.5-inch SATA III drive, so it suits any kit or package built around that form factor. Drives ordered with a CCTV kit or package are supplied fully installed and ready to go before dispatch, which is worth flagging if you're speccing a multi-drive recorder build and want it arriving pre-fitted rather than fitted on site.
