6TB - HDD 3.5" SATA Hard Drives - Ideal for 24/7 continuous recording

A 6TB 3.5" SATA hard drive is the storage layer behind continuous recording setups — sized for DVR/NVR deployments that need weeks of footage rather than days.

Where it fits on a job

For a retail site or warehouse running multiple cameras at high frame rates, storage fills up fast. A 6TB drive gives an installer headroom to size a system around retention policy (30, 60, 90 days) rather than swapping drives mid-contract. For smaller offices or residential blocks with fewer channels, the same drive buys longer archive periods without touching settings.

Key specs

• Capacity: 6TB
• Form factor: 3.5-inch SATA
• Interface: SATA III, for high-speed data transfer
• Spindle speed: 7200 RPM
• Works with all DVR and NVR surveillance systems, and can also be fitted in desktops, servers, NAS units and external enclosures.
• Designed to handle continuous 24/7 recording and storage of data.

Procurement note

Drives ordered alongside any CCTV kit or package arrive fully installed and ready to go before dispatch — no separate mounting or formatting step on site, which matters when you're working to an install schedule with limited time per visit.

Specify this alongside channel count and expected bitrate when quoting a system, since retention length is a direct function of drive capacity versus recording load.
