CAT6A network cable

CAT6A is the cable to specify when a CCTV or data run needs to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet, including PoE camera links, without the bandwidth ceiling of CAT6. This range covers patch leads, bulk reels and outdoor-rated cable for structured cabling on installation jobs.

What's in the range

• Patch/reel lengths — RJ45-CAT6A-UKVISION-1M-REEL-BLACK and RJ45-NETWORK-CABLE-CAT6a-S/FTP-3M-ORANGE for short camera-to-switch or patch panel runs.
• Bulk internal cable — Cat6A Network Cable 305m Grey Solid Core, a full-reel option for first-fix cabling across a site.
• Outdoor-rated cable — Cat6A F/FTD 23AWG Duct Grade Outdoor Network Cable Black and Connectix TruLAN C6GFFHD-F00 Cat6A F/FTP Outdoor Network Cable PE, both built for external or duct routes between buildings or to pole-mounted cameras.
• Low-smoke internal cable — TruHD Cat6A RJ45 U/FTP LSFH Network Cable White, suited to routes where fire-rated cable is specified.

How to choose

• Location — outdoor/duct runs need the outdoor-rated Cat6A cables; internal risers and ceiling voids suit the solid core or LSFH options.
• Run length — short patch leads for cabinet and camera connections; the 305m reel for longer first-fix cable pulls.
• Shielding — F/FTP and S/FTP constructions in this range help reject interference on longer or noisier cable routes.
• Fire rating — LSFH-jacketed cable is the choice where low-smoke performance is required by the building spec.
