As a rule, a higher figure lets you zoom further into a recording.
Camera style
This range covers four-camera CCTV kits, each combining a recorder, four cameras and pre-specified storage. They suit projects with a defined set of coverage points, such as small retail units, offices, warehouse yards and residential block entrances.
How to choose
- Recorder channels: Kits are offered with 16-channel recorders, plus a 32-channel option. Either leaves room to add cameras beyond the four supplied.
- Resolution: Kits run from 2MP through 4MP and 5MP up to 4K. Higher resolution gives more scope for detail, but it also affects storage needs.
- Camera style: Choose turret, bullet or a mix. Examples include 2 turret + 2 bullet and 3 turret + 1 bullet 4K kits. One 32-channel kit pairs two 2MP turrets with two 4MP PTZ cameras.
- Storage: Recording capacity is listed per kit at 4TB, 5TB or 10TB. Match it to the resolution and the retention period your client needs.
- Mixed-resolution kits: Some kits combine resolutions, such as 2MP with 4MP or 4MP with 5MP, so higher-spec cameras can go on the key positions.
