5MP Kits
At the moment this range includes kits that are ready to send, and they are entirely IP (PoE). Recorders of between 4 and 8 channels, 5MP cameras throughout, and between 500GB and 3TB of storage per kit. In practice, the kit in the middle of this range records for around 23 days without a break before it starts to overwrite its oldest footage; that is an estimate at typical settings. The recorders are made by Longse, Prolux, and Tiandy.

Common questions about 5MP Kits
How many days of footage can I expect from a kit in this range?
Three things decide it: the capacity of the drive, the number of cameras recording, and the resolution they record at. As a rule of thumb, when a single camera records continuously, each terabyte holds roughly 23 days at a resolution of 5MP. For the median kit in this range, the estimate is 23 days. Each kit's card gives its own estimate, and recording only on motion stretches the footage further.
How do channels differ from cameras?
Channels tell you how many cameras a recorder can accept, whereas the camera count tells you how many are supplied with the kit. Across this range, recorders have from 4 to 8 channels. The point of spare channels is that the system can grow by a camera or two with no new recorder.
What does the box contain?
An NVR together with its matched cameras, and the two have been checked to work with each other. A hard drive is supplied with every kit in this range. Each kit's own page lists the exact contents, with every part's model number.
5MP CCTV kits bring a network recorder, cameras and storage together as one specified package, so a project starts from a matched system rather than separate parts.
What the range covers
- 16-channel and 32-channel kits, with 12TB, 2× 10TB or 4× 10TB of recording.
- Bullet-only kits, such as 13 bullets on 16 channels or 30 bullets on 32.
- Bullet and turret mixes, such as 22 bullets with 10 turrets.
- 5MP – 4K kits, which add 4K bullets or turrets to a 5MP base.
How to choose
- Channel count: 16-channel kits suit offices, shops and smaller units. 32-channel kits give more room for warehouses and larger residential blocks.
- Camera style: choose bullets or turrets to suit the mounting position and the look of the site.
- 4K positions: mixed kits let you place 4K cameras on entrances or yards and keep 5MP elsewhere.
- Storage: match the drive capacity to how much footage the client wants to keep.
5MP Kits — frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a 16-channel and a 32-channel kit?
The channel count is the number of cameras the recorder can take. This range includes both 16-channel and 32-channel kits.
Can I mix 5MP and 4K cameras in one kit?
Yes, the 5MP – 4K kits pair 5MP cameras with 4K bullets or turrets.
Are turret cameras available in these kits?
Yes. Some kits include 5MP turrets alongside bullet cameras, and some 4K kits use turret cameras.
How much recording storage do the kits include?
Storage varies by kit, from 12TB on some 16-channel kits to 2× 10TB or 4× 10TB on larger ones.
