Level of detailAny
As a rule, a higher figure lets you zoom further into a recording.
Camera style
This range covers CCTV kits built around three IP cameras, a network video recorder and 4TB or 5TB of recording storage.
Where these kits fit
Three-camera kits suit smaller jobs such as a shop front, stockroom and rear entrance, an office, a loading bay or a residential block's communal areas. Recorders are 16-channel or 32-channel, so spare channels remain if the scope grows.
How to choose
- Camera type: turret cameras suit sheltered, close-range positions. Bullet cameras suit exterior elevations. The 32-channel kits add a 4MP PTZ camera for wider areas such as yards.
- Resolution: kits run from 2MP through 4MP and 5MP to 4K. Mixed kits put higher resolution on the key entrance and lower resolution elsewhere.
- Recorder channels: kits come with 16-channel or 32-channel recorders; the 32-channel kits give more headroom for later additions.
- Storage: choose 4TB or 5TB according to the retention your site needs.

3 Camera Kits — frequently asked questions
What is included in a 3 camera CCTV kit?
Each kit combines three IP cameras with a recorder and 4TB or 5TB of recording storage. The kit name lists the camera models and resolutions.
Why is a three-camera kit supplied with a 16 or 32-channel recorder?
The extra channels leave room to add cameras later. A 16-channel recorder has 13 spare channels with three cameras connected, and a 32-channel recorder has 29.
Can I mix resolutions in one kit?
Yes, several kits do, such as 2MP with 4K, 4MP with 5MP, or 5MP with 4K cameras. This lets you put the higher-resolution camera on the most important area.
Is there a PTZ option in this range?
Yes. The 32-channel kits pair two fixed cameras with a 4MP PTZ camera.
