Product Description
Toshiba MG07ACA14TE — 14TB storage for surveillance and server builds
The Toshiba MG07ACA14TE (SKU HDD-14TB-TOSHIBA-MG07ACA14TE) is a 3.5" SATA III enterprise hard drive built for continuous recording and storage-array duty, not desktop use.
Where it fits on a job
For CCTV installers, this drive is aimed at centralised surveillance data storage systems — the recorder or storage array behind a multi-camera site rather than a single DVR. It's also specified for enterprise storage arrays (RAID or software-defined), cloud/hyperscale storage, distributed file systems and industrial server systems, so it suits mixed IT/CCTV racks as well as dedicated video storage builds.
Key specs
- Capacity: 14TB
- Speed: 7200 RPM
- Cache: 256MB
- Interface: SATA 6Gb/s
- Form factor: 3.5 inch

Why it matters in multi-bay builds
Rotational Vibration sensors detect shock and compensate for vibration, which reduces the 'knock-on' vibration effect regular drives can cause in dense, multi-bay enclosures. Persistent Write Cache Technology protects in-flight write data using flash-based cache if power is interrupted mid-write. Stable Platter Technology stabilises the motor shaft at both ends for tracking accuracy. The drive is halogen-free and carries a 5-year standard warranty.
