Product Description
The Seagate IronWolf Pro ST14000NE0008 is a 14TB, 3.5-inch SATA NAS drive built for systems that run every hour of every day. For CCTV installers, that means NVR platforms and multi-bay recorders holding weeks of continuous footage without a drive swap.
Why it fits surveillance and NAS jobs
Spinning at 7200 RPM over a SATA III 6Gb/s interface, it delivers the throughput needed when multiple cameras or users are writing simultaneously. AgileArray technology balances the drive within RAID arrays and manages power draw across a populated enclosure — relevant on file servers and backup boxes as much as NVR-attached storage.
Built for multi-bay stability
Integrated rotational vibration (RV) sensors keep the drive stable when it's one of several spinning side by side — a real factor in 8-bay and larger NAS or NVR chassis where neighbouring drives generate vibration that can degrade performance. The drive carries a high workload rating, so it's specified for heavy write cycles rather than occasional backup duty, making it a sensible match for multi-user offices, retail back-office servers, or continuous CCTV recording.
What's included
Seagate Rescue Data Recovery Services ship with the drive, adding a data-recovery layer for deployments where footage or business records can't be reconstructed if a drive fails.
Pair it with a compatible NVR or NAS chassis rated for 3.5-inch SATA drives; check bay count against expected camera channels and retention period before specifying quantity.
