Product Description
The MifiData MF-5604 is a portable 5G NR hotspot router for sites without fixed broadband. It takes a Nano SIM and provides WiFi for cameras, NVRs, laptops and monitoring apps on temporary or hard-to-cable installations.
Where it fits
- Temporary CCTV sites — construction hoardings, event security, pop-up retail — where no fixed line exists yet
- Backup connectivity for offices or residential blocks alongside a primary broadband link
- Field surveys and commissioning, giving engineers a WiFi network on site before permanent infrastructure is in
Key specs
- 5G / 4G / 3G compatible — falls back where 5G coverage is incomplete
- WiFi 6, dual band (2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz) for better throughput and less congestion
- Up to 2 Gbps download / 1 Gbps upload — ceiling figures dependent on SIM and local signal
- Connects up to 10 devices simultaneously
- Nano SIM slot; two modes — cellular WiFi hotspot or USB direct internet
- Built-in 3.8V 4000mAh battery with PD3.0 fast charge in/out
Selection notes
Because it runs on a SIM rather than a fixed line, coverage and achievable speed depend on the local cellular signal, not on the router itself. Check network availability at the install address before specifying it as a sole connection for live monitoring.
