Product Description
A 2m Cat6 patch lead for short, fixed network runs
This is a 2m Cat6 U/UTP RJ45 patch cable for linking network equipment that sits close together — a switch to an NVR, a router to a PC, or a camera to a nearby PoE injector.
Where it fits on site
On most jobs this length is used inside a cabinet or rack, or for the last short hop between a wall socket and a device — patching a PoE switch into an NVR, connecting a desktop workstation, or tidying up a comms cupboard without trailing excess cable. It's not intended as a long camera run; for that, longer Cat6 or pre-terminated CCTV cable is the better fit.
Key specs
- Category: Cat.6 with U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair) construction
- Length: 2m, black PVC jacket, 5.8mm diameter
- Bandwidth: supported up to 250MHz
- Attenuation: 32.8dB/100m at 250MHz
- Conductors: 24AWG copper, RJ45 male connectors with gold-plated copper alloy pins
- Housing: polycarbonate connector shells
- Operating range: Operates between -10°C and 60°C; can be stored at temperatures from -20°C to 75°C.
- Minimum bend radius: 69mm
Selection notes
Because it's unshielded, keep runs away from mains cabling and other sources of electromagnetic interference where possible — standard practice for U/UTP in any install. Cat6 rating supports higher-bandwidth traffic than Cat5e, useful where NVR channel counts or camera resolutions push more data through a switch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this cable suitable for outdoor camera runs?
No spec here covers outdoor or shielded use — this is a standard U/UTP indoor patch cable, best kept away from sources of electromagnetic interference.
Will this work with Cat5e equipment?
Yes, RJ45 Cat6 leads are backward compatible with Cat5e devices, though you'll only get full Cat6 bandwidth (up to 250MHz) when both ends support it.
What's the bend radius I need to allow for in a cabinet?
The minimum bend radius is 69mm, so allow enough clearance when routing it inside a rack or enclosure.
Is this cable shielded against interference?
No — it's U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair), so route it away from mains cabling and other interference sources where possible.
