Product Description
A 100 metre reel of RG59 coaxial cable for running analogue video between CCTV cameras and a DVR. Single core construction, black jacket, supplied ready to cut to length on site.
Where this fits
RG59 is the standard coaxial cable for analogue CCTV runs, including HD-TVI, AHD and CVI systems that use coaxial cabling between camera and recorder. It suits retail units, warehouses, offices and residential blocks running traditional analogue or HD-over-coax systems rather than IP/PoE cameras.
Build and use
The cable has a central conductor with insulation and shielding around it — the shielding is what keeps interference down and image quality stable over longer runs. The black outer jacket gives mechanical protection and is suited to indoor and outdoor installation.
Specifying for a job
- Supplied as a 100m reel, so installers cut lengths per camera run rather than buying pre-terminated leads
- Single core coax — carries the video signal only; check separately whether your camera and recorder pairing needs a dedicated power feed alongside it
- Appropriate where the recorder and camera type both use coaxial (analogue/HD-TVI/AHD/CVI) rather than IP connections
Keep a reel on the van or in stores for jobs where an existing coax run needs extending or a legacy analogue system needs additional camera drops.

Frequently Asked Questions
What CCTV systems is this RG59 cable suitable for?
It suits analogue CCTV systems and coaxial-based HD formats including HD-TVI, AHD and CVI, connecting cameras to a DVR.
Does the cable also deliver power alongside the video signal?
No — this is a single core coaxial cable for the video signal; power needs to be run separately unless paired with a suitable combined lead.
Can it be used outdoors?
The black outer jacket is described as suitable for indoor and outdoor installations.
How is the cable supplied?
It comes on a 100 metre installation reel so installers can cut the length needed for each camera run.
