Product Description
A BNC T adapter lets one coax run feed two devices, or two feeds combine into one — useful whenever a rack or panel needs signal split without re-cabling.
This one has a single BNC female port plus two further BNC female ports in a T layout, so a male BNC plug from a camera, DVR or monitor connects centrally and routes out to two separate female terminations.
Where it fits on a job
- Testing and commissioning: tap a live feed to a monitor while it still runs to the DVR, without disturbing the main run.
- Temporary monitoring: add a second display or recorder off an existing camera line.
- Patch panels and racks: keep coax runs organised where splitting or combining is needed at a fixed point.
Compatibility
Works with RG59 and RG6 coaxial cable, the two types most CCTV installs are wired with. It carries analogue CCTV video plus the HD-over-coax formats HD-TVI, AHD and CVI, so it drops into mixed-format sites without needing a different adapter per system type.
Build
Metal housing throughout, giving a secure mechanical fit onto BNC plugs and stable electrical contact — relevant on longer runs or in racks where a loose connector shows up as noise or dropout on screen.
Compact enough to sit inline in a patch panel or junction box without crowding adjacent connections.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this split one camera feed to two recorders or monitors?
Yes, the single BNC female port accepts one male connection which then routes out through the two remaining female ports.
Will it work with HD-TVI or AHD cameras, or only analogue?
It supports analogue CCTV as well as HD-TVI, AHD and CVI signals over compatible coax.
What cable type does it need?
It's designed for RG59 and RG6 coaxial CCTV cable, the standard types used in most installations.
Is it suitable for permanent rack installation or just testing?
Both — it's compact enough for patch panels and racks, and is also commonly used for temporary testing and monitoring setups.
